3 Fintastic Fish Recipes To Try After Your Fishing Trip to Cabo San Lucas

“The fish is the star of the plate.” – Eric Ripert

You’re already prepared to spend the summers with your sweetheart in Cabo San Lucas. You’ve been planning this trip for a long time.

Since both of you love fishing, you’ve decided to surprise her for your wedding anniversary, and prepare an amazing dinner.

But there’s one slight problem—you don’t know what to cook!

You know how to make fish sandwiches and baked fish.

But you want to go for something with more flavor, spiciness, and piquancy. You want to go for something that will leave her grabbing for seconds.

Luckily, these delicious fish recipes offer just that and more:

Pan-Seared Marlin with Giant Beans and Chard

This tasty recipe will make her fall in love with you all over again. If you’re inviting friends over later, expect it to disappear within a couple of minutes!

We’ve made our own version of the pan-seared marlin and added giant beans with chard.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Bulgar Wheat (100g)
  • Olive Oil (2 Tbsp)
  • Chorizo, Chopped (100g)
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, Sliced and Diced
  • Chopped Tomato Paste (400g – Preferably Canned)
  • Two Thick Fillets Of Marlin
  • 8 Black Olives
  • Flat-Leaf Parsley

Start by mixing the bulgar wheat in a bowl with hot water. Add enough water to make a thick paste. Make sure not to use too much water. Then cover the bowl with a lid of plate.

Leave it to rise.

Then add olive oil to a pan and fry the chorizo. Make sure it leaves some oil before you add chopped garlic to it. Sautee the garlic and chorizo for three minutes before adding tomato paste into the mix.

After the paste becomes thick and there aren’t any lumps, add the marlin fillets. Add more oil and then cover the pan with a lid.

Once the fish is cooked, drain the bulgar really well. Then add the chopped parsley, large beans, chard, and serve it to your sweetheart!

Mahi-Mahi with Dill and Prawns

Mahi-mahi is one of our favorites and we’ve got the perfect recipe for your dream dinner date with your significant other!

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Butter (Unsalted)
  • 2 Mahi-Mahi
  • Small Capers (2 Tbsp)
  • Small Peeled Prawns (150g)
  • Dill (A Few), Chopped
  • 1 Lemon, Cut Into Wedges

Glaze a baking sheet with the unsalted butter and then place the fish on top of the tray. You’ll need to grill the fish until they’re done. Once they’re done, peel off the skin and put the fish on two plates.

Then heat butter in a frying pan, add cappers, prawns, and dill. Sautee for a couple of minutes and add on top of the fish. Don’t forget to serve the fish with lemon wedges!

Tuna Pasta

You’ll find a lot of tuna in Cabo San Lucas! So, if you’re a fan of tuna, we suggest going with tuna pasta for dinner.

Ingredients You Will Need

  • Parmesan (30g)
  • 1 Lemon
  • Parsley, Chopped
  • Hot vegetable stock
  • Pasta (400g)
  • Tuna (110g)
  • 1 Red Onion, Finely Chopped

Fry tomatoes and onions in olive oil until they’re soft. Add salt accordingly and then add vegetable stock, along with the pasta. Let the pasta cook in the stock.

After the pasta is done, add the parmesan and tuna. Cover the lid of the pot for a couple of minutes.

Then serve the pasta on two plates and add some lemon juice to it.
