Travel Resolutions to Keep in 2020

With the dawn of a New Year, it’s time to reflect on your travels of 2019 and plan for the adventures to come in 2020. Go over your experiences of the last year and determine the things you’d do differently for a better travel experience this year.

Check out these traveling resolutions for 2020:

Special occasions should be spent abroad

Special occasions call for a celebration! Life is too short to forgo the important moments in your life. Every birthday, anniversary, promotion, and milestone achieved should be made memorable with travel!

To achieve this goal, you need to plan in advance. Just because you’re traveling a couple or more times a year doesn’t mean you have to spend more money. There are plenty of low-cost destinations that provide budget-friendly adventure packages. You can also do freelance jobs to keep things afloat if you are a full-time traveler.

Travel to a new destination in your home country

Whichever part of the world you live in, you probably haven’t experienced all corners of the country. This year, aim to learn your country more by traveling. Go to a city or town you’ve never been to before. Take in the culture it has to offer, you will surely be surprised!

Travel lighter than last year

Traveling light is the best advice anyone can give you. You almost never use all the things you pack for a vacation anyway! If you think you packed lightly last year, take it up a notch this year. You can always buy essentials once you reach your destination!

Leave social media behind

When traveling, we feel the need to constantly update our Instagram feeds and stories, updating our followers where we are and what we’re doing.  This year, make a conscious effort to leave social media behind wherever you go. Travel for yourself and not to make your Instagram feed more aesthetic.

By all means, take pictures and videos of your experiences, but while you’re on these adventures, put your phones away. This break from social media will help you refocus your time and energy on your goals and help set some boundaries.

Try a new sport abroad

When you do travel to a new destination, try something adventurous. This is especially applicable to those who generally take relaxing beach holidays. Your travels shouldn’t just be about lazing around on the beach and getting a tan.

Give yourself that adrenalin boost by trying a new sport wherever you go. If you’re traveling to Cabo this year, try sportfishing. You get to charter a stunning yacht and learn a new skill.

With Tag Cabo Sportfishing, you can try your hand at fly fishing in Cabo San Lucas as well as the best marlin fishing in Mexico. We provide yacht charters so you can experience the fishing in style. Check out the fleet we have to offer or contact us at +52 624.168.9544 for more information.
